About Our Client 

Our client, the owner of Moov Store AI, is an eminent personality in Saudi Arabia and a serial entrepreneur. Through sheer dedication and relentless efforts, our client has made Moov Store one of the leading eCommerce platforms in Saudi Arabia. 

We delivered the Moov Store in 2023 and have since been working with the client to make it one of the best and most trusted e-stores of KSA. Though we will give you a quick overview of this e-store in the case study, our primary focus will be Moov AI–an AI-powered product recommendation chatbot integrated into the platform.

Project Background 

Our client from KSA first approached Space-O Technologies to create an eCommerce site that resonates with the local population’s shopping patterns. They wanted a platform that caters to multiple user roles, including sellers, customers, delegates, logistics personnel, drivers, and admin. 

We fulfilled our client’s following requirements: 

• Create a multichannel eCommerce platform for Windows, iOS, and Android devices. 
• Develop a platform that provides an interface for 6 key stakeholders, i.e., sellers, customers, delegates, drivers, admin, and logistics. 
• The platform should have a seamless user interface with flawless navigation. 
• Service booking provisions will be provided under various categories, such as medical care, tech services, storage & warehouse services, and much more. 

To cater to their requirements, we designated a dedicated team of eleven members, including three Laravel developers, two Android developers, two iOS developers, a QA, a web designer, a UI designer, and a project manager. 

We created the Moov Store from scratch using Laravel, PHP, and MySQL technologies for the web application, Kotlin and Java for Android, and Swift 5 for the iOS operating system.

We successfully delivered the Moov Store within 6 months, and it was officially launched in 2023. Since then, we have been working on deploying consistent updates and security maintenance to ensure the platform remains impeccable.

We at Space-O Technologies (AI) designated a full-stack developer to build Moov AI, who took 22 days to develop and deploy it. Our developer communicated regularly with the client to ensure the software solution took the proper form and performed optimally as anticipated. 

For efficient performance of the AI chatbot, we used the following tools and technologies to develop it:

• Bootstrap and jQuery were used to create the user interface. We preferred using Bootstrap for its responsive grid system, which enables the development of responsive web designs. On the other hand, jQuery was used for its cross-platform compatibility, ensuring the chatbot ran smoothly across various channels.
• Laravel was used to create APIs that should be integrated with the AI chatbot. It was preferred for its built-in API support, which enabled faster creation of secure and scalable APIs.
• PostgreSQL was chosen for database management due to its scalability, allowing it to store and handle large amounts of data.
• OpenAI tools generated vector embeddings for data such as products, users, queries, etc. Some OpenAI tools, such as ChatGpt, were used to increase context awareness and power the chat facility. 
• Pgvector was used to store the generated vector embeddings. As an extension of PostgreSQL, it eliminates the need for a dedicated vector database and runs smoothly with PostgreSQL, thereby reducing operational complexities.
